This beautiful jacket designed by Heidi Kirrmaier has been knit by expert knitter Judy Lewis, the newest addition to the Blue Heron team. It involves a lot of short rows and is best for a knitter with some experience. We did it in our Sock Plus yarn in the color "Deep Slate" and added beads. You will find it on our website in "Kits and Patterns".  https://www.blueheronyarns.com/shop/yarn-kits-patterns/chance-showers

I have begun using other designers' patterns  for some variety. It also lets me have time for other things. One of my favorite designs is the "Pimpelliese Shawl" by Christine Ebers. I have done this in several of our yarns. My latest one here is in our Rayon Metallic yarn in the color "Fern". I'm ready for spring so warm green is my color of choice. I used 1 skein and got a large shawl 72" long that drapes beautifully.
You'll find it on our website in our new category "COLORS" in "Green". https://www.blueheronyarns.com/shop/green/fern-shawl

Baby Terrapin

I think Robert is a girl so I need a new name. I am looking for the Nanticoke name of the turtle who held up Turtle Island. She has had ferns added to her habitat and is happy to have so many hiding places. She is now 4 months old.
What a sweet face!
                                               She dives right in.
                                                 New forest pond habitat.
Hungry as usual.
