I wanted something big and dramatic to send to TNNA. I had just purchased Patricia Werners' "Dazzling Knits" and had to try it out. I had never made a mitered square before so I thought that by the time I finished something really big I should have it down pretty good. I used twelve colors using Blue Heron Beaded Wool, Beaded Wool Metallic, Softwist Wool and Silk/Merino yarns. It was great fun and took me about a month to complete. I used the basic square from her book.

Indigo Jacket-Fringed Vest-Patchwork Vest

I used the Ojo de Dios vest pattern from Patricia Werners' wonderful book "Dazzling Knits" to make these three new pieces. I added sleeves for the jacket. I include all of my changes and additions to the pattern in the kit but her pattern is not included.

Red Star Tunic

Wear this tunic with leggings or pants this fall. It has eight buttons along each side . Make it in these two new Blue Heron colors, Red Star and Night Sky in Softwist Wool.

It is an easy knit but requires some new techniques and the ability to maintain an even gauge.

Sea Snake Shawl

I did this piece just for fun. The shawl pattern is available from us. I list the yarns used and some very general ideas about how I constructed the sea snake and seaweed collar. The collar yarns are not included in the kit. Have fun and design your own with your favorite critters.

Cotton Lace Sweater

Designed and knit for us by Sylvia Cannizzaro in Blue Heron Yarns Carnelian Egyptian Mercerized Cotton. Wear over a camisole for a great look. It uses only one skein so make several in your favorite colors.
